Guest guest
Just out of curiosity, I would like to know if the picture of bhagavad rAmAnuja was found along with the signature as one piece, or is the picture just added to the signature by the person who submitted it for distribution? In other words, is the picuture also blessed by bhagavad rAmAnuja himself by attesting his signature under the picture? -Krishnamachari Pattangi <danp wrote: sri: I received this picture from sri TA Varadan swamin this afternoon, with the Signature of our Swami Emberumanar. Guest guest
SRIMATHE RAMANUJAYA NAMAHA. I am curious to know in which language Bhagavad Ramanuja used to write often. Because until my father's time (about 6 years ago), I have seen them all read from Grantha libi only. Most of the books had been only in grantham or sanskrit. Ramanujacharya's Bhashyam had been in sanskrit and the translations down the ages seem to be in grantham. The name /signature looks like grantham. Guest guest
SrI: Dear Srimathy SaranAthan : The signature of AchArya RaamAnujA is at Melkote ArchakA's house in the Koil AzhwAr . Melkote Vaasis ( Sriman M.A.Alwar ) will direct you to that house , which has the bhAgyam of the authentic signature in Poojaa Graham all these years . adiyEn had the bhAgyam of seeing this Kai Oppam few years back , when adiyEn had the SamarpaNam of Silver AarAdhana Paathram for ThirunArAyaNan and a SaThAri for Udayavar . That SaThAri was like the ones used in ChOLa Desam . It was bigger than the usual Kai SaThAri . Hence after Prathishtai , the SaThAri was kept in Udayavar Sannidhi ( I am told) and the samller sized SaThAri . Any one visiting Melkote are welcome to see AchArya RaamAnujA's HasthAksharam and also let adiyEn know , whether the bigger sized SaThAri with Navarathnams in the Kumizhi is still kept at Udayavar Sannidhi .There was some debate about moving it to Moolavar Sannidhi . I have lost track of these developments at Melkote . adiyEn's duty was to complete the SamarpaNam and leave the rest to the ArchakAs . V.Sadagopan P.S: The picture is added for decoration . It is of Selva PiLLai and hence it brings one back to Melkote . No connection between the picture and the signature . The signature at Melkote is at the end of a palm leaf manuscript . The best person to comment on this is Dr.M.A.Alwar of Melkote . - "jayasartn" <jayasree.saranathan <Oppiliappan> Tuesday, November 15, 2005 3:04 AM Re: Actual Signature of Swami Ramanuja > SRIMATHE RAMANUJAYA NAMAHA. > > I am curious to know in which language Bhagavad Ramanuja used to > write often.
