Guest guest
The uniqueness of Kaliyan and archAvathAra EmperumAn paNdu ivara kaNdu aRivadhu evvUril? Smt Rajalakshmi Kannan lists out three unique features of Thirumangai mannan. 1. Angry at the archAvathAra Lord. 2. Not able to recognise the identity of archAvathAra Almighty. 3. madal eduthal - Publicly declaring about the love against the archavathAra EmperumAn. 1. Angry at archAvathAra Lord: Sri Nam-AzhwAr - KulasEkarazhwAr were cross with EmperumAn. This was with Lord KrshNA -vibhavAvathAram. Thirumangai Mannan is cross with archAvathAra Lord which is the logical end to the archAvathAra significance. This is seen in the ThriuindhaLUr thirumozhi 'nummaith thozhudhOam' culminating into 'vAzhndhEa pOam nErEA" 4-9; 2. madal eduthal -Declaring in public that the loved one did not keep up the promise and washing dirty linen in public. Nam-AzhwAr just threatened with thsi intention in the ThriuvAiMozhi 5-.3 'mAsaRu sOdhi'. However, Thirumangai AzhwAr went a step ahead and infact went public against The ThriuNaRaiyUr Almigthy - ThirumaDal. 3. The ashtabujam Thirumozhi 2-8 talks of Kaliyan wondering who it could be who is mesmerising him/her. What is the identity? seems to have met but the imposing beauty is defying recognition. This feature again is observed in archAvathAram there and here again in kaNNapuram. The ninth pAsuram is categorical 'paNdivaraik kaNdu aRivadhu evvUril yAm? enREa payilginRALAL' 8-1-9; ON seeing the earlier day, due to the Supremacy, the Almighty appears to be similar as if seen earlier. However, after familiarity, the same form appears new and not easily recognised. Sri PeriyavAchAn piLLai's vyAkyAnam makes this more clear. 'mudhal nAL kaNdAl swAbhAvigamAna swAmithvathvAlum mugathil thaNNiyAlumAga 'munbEa kaNdu aRiyum mugamAi irundhadhE! ennum padi irukkum. sira parichiyam piRandha pinbu 'munbOar idathilum ivanai kaNdaRiyOam enRirukkum. nithyApUrvamAna vishayam enRapadi' The Lord is fresh and posing a new look every day and a rare value day in and day out. eppozhudhum nAL thingaL ANdUzhi thORum appOdhaikku appOadhu en ArA amudhamEA dAsan vanamamalai padmanabhan
