Guest guest
----- The Greatness of SwAmy PeriyavAchAn PiLLai nEr mali vaiyathu nEDu niRpArgaLEA The final pAsuram of the second thirumozhi of the 8th ten 'reads as 'nEr mali vaiyathu nEDu niRpArgaLEA' AzhwAr declares that those that those who master this thriumozhi will be in this world for a long long time. A question is raised by Sri Periya VAchAn PiLLai. For a prapannan, is being the world a big deal? In fact, a mumUkshu aims for attaining for salvation. Therefore, does this assurance of being in this samsaram for long long time go contrary to this? One cannot get certain divine anubhavam-s which exist here there in the ThriunADu. For instance, ThiruvaDi desired to stay over here itself to experience rAmA bakthi. 'yathra yathra raghunAdha kErthanam'. Likewise, these anubhavam-s are indeed to be cherished here. One should also recall Sri bhaTTAr's words " If ParamaPadham does not give the anubhavam I would tear a hole in the corner of ParamaPadham, jump down and return to Thiruvarangam" Not just giving out meanings is the role of commentator. To question and logically answer is the greatness of a vyAkyAna-karthA and that is what Sri PeriyavAchAn PiLLai has done. And perhaps, that is why vyAkyAnach Chakravarhty.
