ParakAla nAyaki's mother feels for her daughter not only for her involment with KaNNapurathu EmperumAn but also that she is not yet grown up. 'She is after all a child and see the situation she is in" was her thoughts. The questiion now comes up? Does the age matters. Should one be grown up to be able to concentrate in bhagawadh vishayam? The mahAbhAratham araNya kANDam talks of Periya ThriuvaDi observing a bakthai -a devout women in remote hill. He felt that 'such a great devotee should be in a divine place', little realising that location for a srEvaishNavite is immaterial but the matter -the devotion is the crux.(This is also referred to in SrEvachana bhUshaNam) The point here is that neither the location nor the age matters when it comes to bhagawadh vishayam. In fact, one should be thankful for having got such devotion at such a small age. Sri Periya VAchAn PiLLai states in the vyAkyAnam ' bhagavath vishayathil oru kERRu pugura ninRAn yAvanoruvan, avan pUrva vruthathai pArthuk kuRai ninaikkak kadavan allan, avan irundha padiyEa uthEsyam paNNik koNDADa adukkum' That is for one, who is immersed in bhagavath vishayam his previous history does not matter. His present state is enough to be commended. This is clear from this pAsuram '...kaNapuram kai thozhum piLLayai-piLLai enReNnap peRuvaREA" 8-2-9 of Periya ThiruMozhi. One should not think her as your daughter.
