Guest guest
sri: Dear and respected Devotees. Please accept our humble pranam: Vedics_Books is blessed to release Dwayam Vyakhyanam in english: PS: All books are free to download and use. http://www.radioramanuja.com/eb/ => Sri Pillai Lokacharya Swami's Mumukshuppadi (Dwaya Prakarnam) Based on P.B Annangarachar Swami's Sarartha Deepikai English Translation by Sri. TCA Venkatesan Swamin (Detroit, USA) This book on "Dwayam" gives us the detailed meaning of " Sriman Narayana Charanau Saraman Prapadye" " Srimathe Narayanaya Nama: " The previous book released on "Thirumantram" gives us the detailed meaning of "Om Namo Narayanaya" as taught by our purvacharyas. ======================================================== The origin of the rahasyathrayam is as follows. The Thirumanthram, also known as Periya Thirumanthram and Moola Manthram, originated in Badri. It was taught to Nara by Narayana. Dvayam which is also known as Manthra Rathnam, was revealed to Sri Mahalakshmi in Vishnu Loka by Sriman Narayana. Carama Sloka is part of the Bhagavad Gita and as such was told to Sri Arjuna by Sri Krishna. Thus the originator of all three rahasyas is Lord Sriman Narayana. Therefore, He is the first acharya in the Guru parampara. It is thus that Sri Kooraththazhvan said "Lakshminatha samarambam ... vande guruparamparam". Therefore this rahasyathraya even though short in words has very many great, rare and majestic meanings and as such our acharyas have studied it extensively and taught their meanings carefully to their disciples. Prior to Swamy Ramanuja the acharyas guarded the rahasyathraya and their meanings and taught them exclusively to select disciples only. Bhagavad Ramanuja in his broad mind and large sympathy for those caught in the samsaric cycle, exceeded the norms of the day and himself and through his disciples taught the rahasyathraya and their meanings to all who were interested. This is shown in Upadesa Raththinamalai as OrANvazhiyAy upathEsiththAr munnOr, erAr ethirAsar innaruLAl - pArulagil AsaiyudaiyOrkkellAm AriyarkAL kURumenRu pEsi varambaruththAr pin From the time of Sri Ramanuja the meanings of these rahasyas were taught but there is no evidence that during his time their special meanings were recorded in written form by acharyas. Swami Pillai Lokacharya was the first acharya to record the meanings in detail. ========================================================= To document and immortalize our Jagadhacharyan Swami Ramanuja's message Lord Varadaraja of Kancheepuram took an Avathara as Swami Pillai Lokachariar (Ulagarian) in the year 1205 CE. He fulfilled His salkalpam (mission) by writing 18 Rahasya granthas. He is our "Mudal" (first) Acharya to preserve these Rahasya granthas for future generations in written document. He stayed on this BhuLoka for 106 years and He ended His avatara after protecting Lord Ranganatha from muslim invasion in the year 1311 CE. ================================================================== Short note about the Author Sri. TCA Venkatesan Swamin (Detailed note is in the e-book) ================================================================== Sri TCA Venkatesan considers himself as an ekalavya sishya to scholars such as Sri P.B. Annangaracharyar Swami, Sri Velukkudi Varadacharyar Swami, Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swami and others. He has been reading and listening to their works extensively. As a token effort in trying to serve the sampradhayam from which he has taken and continues to take so much, Sri Venkatesan started his website http://www.acharya.org in 2001. This website has grown substantially over the years and stores information on SriVaishnava sampradhayam. Sri Venkatesan joined the organization Vedics Foundation in the US in 2002 to help with the many services that the Foundation does in the US and in India. In 2003, he was elected to the board of the foundation and in 2004 and in 2005 he served as the President of the board. Sri Venkatesan spends his time in activities such as translation of Purvacharya's works (vyakhyanams for Azhvars pasurams and Acharyas works) and other articles and typing up the Nalayira Divya Prabandham. ================================================================== Azhvar Emberumanar Jeeyar ThiruvadigalE Saranam For Vedic_Books Ramanuja Adiyargal, http://www.radioramanuja.com/eb http://www.vedics.net
