Bhattar was asked the following about the Thiruppavai

verse 'thingkaLum Adhiththiyanum ezhundAR pOl angkaN

iraNdum': "How can the Lord show heat in one eye (the

sun) and coolness in the other eye (the moon) at the

same time?"

 

Bhattar replied "As a lioness fights with an elephant,

it will still be feeding milk to its cub. Similarly,

while the Lord is showing anger at His enemies, He

will also be showering grace on His devotees."
