Guest guest
ThirukkaNNapuram-Kaliyan's mukkOTTAi Those days kerala had a renowned place 'mukkOTTai'. Even those who were not able to speak were able to fluently compose wonderful poems in this place. Sri PeriyavachAn PiLLai mentions that ThriukkaNNapuram, perhpas is Kaliyan's mukkOTTAi. This is from AzvAr's pAsuram himself 'nATTinAi ennai vunakku mun thoNDAGa, mATTinEAn athanayEa koNdu en valvinaiyai, pATTinAl vunnai en nenjathu irundhamai kATTinAi'-kaNNapurathuRai ammAnEa" 8-10-9 of Periya ThriruMozhi. The grace of Saurip PerumAL is logically spelt out by Thirumangai Mannan. First, ThirukkaNNapuram EmperumAn instals Thirumangai AzvAr at His service. Second, as a corollary the cumulative kArmic effects are obliterated. More than this, the sweet hymns come out of Kaliyan manifesting the blessings of EmperumAn and this is what PeriyaVAchAn PiLLai mentions as 'ivaraip pADuvitha mukkOTTaiyAi irundhapadi' dAsan vanamamalai padmanabhan
