Guest guest
How do I forget? The ThirunAgai azhagiyAr's beauty and the desire of parakAla nAyaki to immeditely attain His feet did not fructify. This had a cumulative effect and deep frustration followed. The empty promises of the Lord 'indicating timeand place' of tryst with Him surfaced in the mind of AzhwAr. The Lord of ThriuppullANi had indicated 'AzhwAr, I shall meet You at the gardens of ThruppullANi' but never came forth in person. However, the mind of AzhwAr revolved and circled on Him only, again and again. She was never able to forget Him. We, the ordinary souls try all means and methods to think of Him constantly without detraction for a few minutes and here lO! AzhwAr is trying to forget Him and exclaims 'What should I do to forget Him?' not able to restrain her mind. All this is described by AzhwAr in the third thirumozhi of the ninth ten 'thannai naivikkil en? 'murugu vaNDuN malar kaidhiyin nEzhalin munnoru nAL'9-3-2; The plant under which AzhwAr was supposed to meet is also indicated 'under the private shadows of the kaidhai plant' AzhwAr goes a step further and comes up with a witness. Here is the beetle which is thewitness for the promise 'kongUN vaNDEA kariyAga vandhAn, koDiyEARku- mun nangaL Esan namakkEA paNitha mozhi seidhilan.." 9-3-4; The EmperumAn did not fulfill his words despite the beetle being the witness. and is ina futile attempt to forget Him tries for methods of doing this 'yEAdhu seidhAl maRakkEAn?'9-3-3; and goes on in this fashion dAsan vanamamalai padmanabhan
