Guest guest
Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama: When Mahabali, the grandson of Prahlada, used abusive words against Sriman Narayana, Prahlada said the following: "Instead of abusing the Lord in front of me, if you were to cut my head off, that would be the great benefit you can do for me." Then, he cursed Mahabali that he would lose his kingdom. Nanjeeyar had a doubt about this that he asked Bhattar the following question. "For those who have no attachment to things of this world, worldly wealth is nothing. Prahlada is such a person. Then, why would he consider the kingdom as something important and curse Mahabali that he would lose it?" Bhattar replied "To punish a dog, one would not remove something lofty away from it. Instead one would prevent it from eating the lowly thing that it likes. Similarly to punish Mahabali, Prahlada cursed that he would lose the kingdom that he loved so much".
