Guest guest
Dear BhagavathAs, Out of eight types of sayana sevai(kidantha thirukolam) divya desams which are called as ASHTAVIDHA SAYANA DIVYA DESANGAL, one among is Sthala Sayanam at Thirukadalmallai (Mahabalipuram), which is one among 108 divya desams, and BoothathAlwar Thiru Avathaara Sthalam. Sriman Narayanan out of His great Kaarunya and dhayii towards His Bhakata Pundareega Magarishi, He is reclining (kidantha thirukolam) on Sthal (Earth) with chathur bhujam. Emperumaan in 26 divya desams recline on AdhisEsha with two hands. But here, emperumaan reclines on Bhoomi (Sthal) with His four hands. Two hands which rests on Bhoomi points towards His Lotus feet. Emperuman show towards His bhaktha Pundareega Maharishi that He was wearing the 1000 petals Lotus flower at His Feet, which the rishi want to donate it to Lord. One hand under His head and the other hand in rising position shows a sign of calling bhaktha(rishi). One can see immediately, whenever entering this temple, the raised hand of emperumaan shows a sign of "calling His bhakthaas". Here the emperuman appears in so simple form without AdhisEsha, Chanku and chakram, since there is no need to save or protect His bhaktha(rishi) from any evil or deamon. He appeared in this sthal to appreciate the rishis' devotion, bhakthi towards Him. Since emperumaan rests on sthalam, thaayar also sits on Sthalam (Boomi) and gives Her sevai. Hence Her thirunaamam is Nila mangai Thayar. In this divya desam, Maasi Pournami Theerthvaari Mahotsavam is going to be celebrated on 13, 14 MArch. The details are: 13-03-06 ------------7.30 P.M. ---------------- Theppa Utsavam (at Pundareega Pushkarini) 14-03-06-------------7.30 A.M.----------------TheerthavAri The speciality of theertha vaari is: At this sthal, emperumaan TOUCHED the sea water to swap away or to dry the sea water on behalf of rishi, by His soft hand. Hence the sea here is called "artha sEthu". Such is the speciality of the sea water at this sthalam. Only in this sthalam, emperuman touched the sea water by His soft hand before gaving His prathyaksham to rishi, to dry out the water. If people like us take a Holy Dip at the sea which was touched by our Loved Emperumaan by His soft thirukkai, there is no doubt that all our sins will burn out and vanish away by the sea water waves. From the sthala puranam, it is clear that, one who surrenders at His feet, He not only clears or dry out the Sea water but also our Samsaara kadal would be dried away and we can reach Him very easily as He shows His divya sEvai at this sthalam. >From the Puraanams, it's said that, married womens who still doesn't gave birth to any child, will give a birth to child by worshipping Sthala sayana perumal after taking a holy dip at the sea. And He will fulfill all the requests from bhakthaas after the holy dip from sea. >From mangalAsAsanam by Thirumangai Alwar, it is clear that, He is the one who is going to perform "Kalki Avatharam" in this yugam: "kadumpari mEl karkiyii naan kandu kondEn kadipozhilsool kadalmallai thalasayanaththE" Thirumangai - 26 pasurams BoothathAlwar - 1 pasuram Adiyen request all the bhakthaas in and around CHENNAI, CHENGALPET areas, to participate in this great theerthavaari mahotsavam of sthalasayana perumal, and get His blessings. Adiyen is also extremely happy on seeing information about this mahotsavam in "Kumudam Jothidam" magazine , 17, MArch,2006 Issue with photographs of Utsavars, Alwar.
