This will be the very first time in NYC featuring over 12 artists presenting carnatic music with violin, flute, veena, mridangam, konnakol, ghatam, kanjira, ghethu and morsing. IMPORTANT: The concert hall has a very limited seating capacity. Therefore, please purchase your tickets WELL IN ADVANCE. The tickets are available online at: www.ragachitra.org. This may be a perfect occasion for you to visit the spectacular Divya-Dham Mandir (the Festival location), a very unique Hindu temple where 1,008 Shiva Lingas have been installed. The temple also enshrines beautiful, life-size idols of various Hindu deities including an immense 20-ton Shiva Linga and a gigantic Trimurthi of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva which are only found in ancient temples of India. The Vaishno Devi cave and the murthis of goddesses representing the 51 Shakti Peethas (seats of the Hindu order) are exclusive to this beautiful temple.
