Sandeep,

vichara is a very earnest practice. Imagine you have to face death -

what will you do? So earnest is vichara - each moment...

So what's the sense of this life if not to take it up seriously?

Prattling round?

VBG....Now THIS makes sense

:-) RL

Can

Ramana be more clearer, than this,.......... when a muttering arose

through that instrument....

There is no greater mystery than this -

that being the Reality ourselves, we seek to gain Reality.

We think that there is something binding our Reality and that it must be

destroyed before the Reality is gained.

It is so ridiculous.

A day will dawn when you will yourself laugh at your effort.

That,...... which is on the day of laughter,......... is also

now.

[RamanaMaharshi] Re: The day of laughter

Sandeep, vichara is a very earnest practice. Imagine you have to face death - what will you do?

What is there to do?

Life, death, appearance, disappearance, .......changing dancing energy patterns.

What is to do with me?

Death is always an interesting issue.

And really all issues, spiritual or otherwise, relate to the issue of death.

Seeing that time demolishes everything, you seek the timeless, hoping that in

getting hold of the timeless, .........you will cheat death.

Death of what,.... is the real question, is it not, Gabriele?

Death of the biological organism?

The biological organism is an outgrowth of a sperm and an ovum having done the

hip-hop at some time.

The essence of both the sperm and the ovum is the food ingested.

The essence of food are the five fundamental elements of nature.

At "death" of the biological organism which society has labeled

"Gabriele",.....either through the process of cremation or burial or being fed

to the vultures (if the prevailing ethos was Zorastrian/Parsees),.......the

biological organism merges back to the same elements, from which it emerged.

Dust to dust.

Nothing lost, nothing gained.

So whose death is to be faced?

Is not any wondering about death, the wondering of what happens to my lap when I

stand up or what happens to my fist when I open my fingers?

So earnest is vichara - each moment...So what's the sense of this life if not

to take it up seriously?

If that is what moves you, that you must take it seriously.

Very seriously.

And maybe at some time, when you are relaxed, you might like to

ponder,.......seriousness is always about associated with an agenda, is it not?

That agenda may have spiritual overtones or it might be out and out about some

mundane stuff.

Whatever be the overtones, whatever be the form, .........with a prevailing

sense of seriousness,....... there is a hidden sense of an agenda.

And thus the sense of a "self" , the "me-Gabriele", to which that agenda is

relevant and thus to be serious in completing that agenda.

The seeking to complete the agenda through whatever tools, technique,

methodology, instruction manuals, which appeals to that "me-Gabriele",

depending on the prevailing conditioning-in-that-moment, in that biological

organism.

Have a look, whether that "serious self" has any independent existential reality?

After all, it was once again Ramana who suggested that before trying to solve

the issue, the Great Question, the Quest as Miles is suggesting, .......should

you not find out, ....just who is it that has the issue, who is it that has the

itchy agenda to be scratched.

Have a look at that "serious self".

And thus see the investment into the agenda by this notion, which as a

consequence creates the sanctity,.... for that notion,....the sancity of the

deeply held agenda.

Which then "runs" it.

Round and round the mulberry bush.

Prattling round?

Anybody, speaking or communicating through any other means, to somebody,

anywhere at any time, ever, ..............what has happened, in that moment,..

is the birthing of a prattling.

A prattling is a signature on flowing waters.

No matter whether the instrument, through which the prattling arose in the

moment, went by the label "Ramana" or "Jesus", or "Lao Tzu" or "Buddha" or

"Renzai", "Mohammed", or "Mesiter Eckhart" or "Nisargadatta" .........or any

other label that you can think of.

This whole phenomenality, of which this Universe is one mere bubble,

............and of which this very dialogue is a nuance, ..

...this whole phenomenality..

...a signature....

....a thought.

In the very moment of the signature's appearance,........ is it's immediate disappearance.

In the very arising of the thought, is it's immediate dissipation.

Shiva's exhalation, is the very inhalation, in the same moment.

When Shiva could not maintain his seriousness even for a moment and immediately

laughed the Primal laughter, what seriousness are you Gabriele talking about?

<LOL>

Just go.......Doooobeeee Dooobeeee Dooooooo

(The most ancient mantra, the Gayatri of the Gayatri mantra)

The language is good. In the beginning had a feeling that it will be the

Guru's teachings that will be discussed.

Love.

In defense of Sandeep, it should be noted that "Chatterji" is

Sandeep's last name. Sandeep himself has pointed out that his last name

indicates his natural tendencies. Everyone has tendencies.

Chatter-Ji. The one who loves to chatter. There is nothing wrong with

chattering. We love Chatterji. I suppose too much chattering can appear

as too much chattering and overdone perhaps. Hard to say. There is a

little chatter-ji in all of us. Mind itself is the little chatter-ji.

In any case, due to his good merit, Sandeep has found his way to

Bhagavan's list. Let us be compassionate and understanding. Chatter

away, dear one.

Yes, the day of laughter is now! :-). Reality is Here and Now. Where

else would it be? :-).

Love to all

Another shift in perspective shows this in a new

light...

If "Sandeep" mails are read for "his" words without

attaching a name/form/ego to it (which comes again

because of "this mind's" habits/conditioning), it

points to "this mind's" own areas of

habits/conditioning. That then becomes an excellent

opportunity to self gauge where this mind is working

towards. :-)

Might be poor choice of words, hope it conveys the

right meaning intended :-)

All shifts in perspective

are false and have no reality whatsoever.

The day of laughter is today! :-).
