Guest guest
i am new to this group although in truth have always been with it and am fascinated by the depth of mental noise that has arisen in response to the comments made by sandeep what i am curious about is this since when, in absolute truth, are there any rules about a 'way' that needs to be championed and/or defended? it strikes me that whatever response there is in body-mind occurs not as an excuse to project that response on to the world, but as an opportunity to enquire into 'who is having this response?' i don't know that any criticism of ramana would have bothered ramana i feel that he would have simply enquired 'who is criticising? and who is being criticised? in truth, where do you end and i begin?' of course, this is only my experience being the love of this
Guest guest
Dear Lady, That was a beautiful and right thought. A realized sage would have no rules. Like Sri Ramana. But they might still apply to all who are on the way shown by the Guru, and where still attachments exist. It was not on a person or the comments there was discussion. Particularly on the way that was being shown, which was deviating from the original purpose and the goal. For me Truth is only one. And the faith in my GURU is there steady and guiding me along. Guest guest
Dear Cameron , in an ideal 'satsang' situation you are right .But unfortunately from time to time individuals whether knowingly or unknowingly have an effect on the Group and can frustrate its purpose .Sri Harshaand Sri Michael B. have put these points very well in previous postings ..Furthermore glib manipulation of iconoclastic Advaita Concepts, endlessly and tortuously repeated , which may have a certain interest on a philosophical level can confuse and possibly put off sincere new aspirants who wish to practice and understand earnestly Ramana's Great Teaching. Even in Ramana's lifetime there were strange goings on by immature visitors which tended to interrupt the transmission of his Teaching. So the Ashram management had occaisionally to take steps.Ramana acquiesced in these decisions ,because obedience to authority is a life preparation for a higher obedience .Most Groups have owners and moderators whose role is to protect the integrity of the Group .Some are strict , this group is generally very tolerant .. Best wishes , in His Grace, Alan i am new to this group > > although in truth have always been with it > > and am fascinated by the depth of mental noise that has arisen in > response to the comments made by sandeep > > what i am curious about is this > > since when, in absolute truth, are there any rules about a 'way' > that needs to be championed and/or defended? > > it strikes me that whatever response there is in body-mind occurs > not as an excuse to project that response on to the world, but as an > opportunity to enquire into 'who is having this response?' > > i don't know that any criticism of ramana would have bothered ramana > > i feel that he would have simply enquired 'who is criticising? and > who is being criticised? in truth, where do you end and i begin?' > > of course, this is only my experience > > being the love of this > > > > > Post message: RamanaMaharshi > Subscribe: RamanaMaharshi- > Un: RamanaMaharshi > List owner: RamanaMaharshi-owner > > Shortcut URL to this page: > http://www./community/RamanaMaharshi > > Your use of is subject to > > ______________________ Want to chat instantly with your online friends?
