Like one who absent-minded hears

A tale, the Sage with vasanas dead,

May seem to act yet never acts.

The mind with vasanas alive

Works busily while doing nothing,

Like someone lying still in sleep

And dreaming that he climbs uphill

And tumbles down .

This the 22nd verse composed directly by Bhagavan for the Garland unlike

Muruganar [after

Bhagavan] .It is translated by Prof.K.Swaminathan

CONTENTED WITH WHATEVER COMES,

FREE FROM DUALITY AND ENVY,

THE EVEN-MINDED SEER MAY ACT

AND IS NOT BOUND.
