Dear Michael and all , just a note on the Internet shop opposite the Ashram

Main Gates .Kumar

and his wife who own it and run it are a very devout couple and never allow the

shop to be used

before a Puja is performed by him .The place is adorned with pictures of

Shiva,Ramana , and other

Saints and Sages .There is always good inscense burning.Perhaps this accounts

for the silence

people sense there , because of their devotional respect ,and its proximity to

the Ashram.

I have just returned from Arunachala after contracting cellulitis from an

infection having cut my

leg there but I am slowly getting better . My mind is still very, very quiet

from a month there

..I saw Ganeshan briefly when he returned from the USA and before he went to

hospital .He was in

very good spirits. He gave Satsang ,mainly to Indians(Deepam}and was thrilling

them with lively

anecdotes about Ramana. It was emotionally most moving. Arunachala is a place

of miracles and

truly the spiritual centre of the planet as Sri Bhagavan said .Love to all,in

His Grace ,Alan

Dear Alan:

Nice to hear from you.

I am glad you are getting better.

I have never heard of cellulitis

and I hope it is nothing serious.

"I saw Ganeshan briefly when he returned from the USA and before he

went to hospital. He was in very good spirits.

I really loved attending the satsang on Sri Ganesan's porch

at Ananada Ramana. Attending the talks of Sri Ganesan

is one of the most delightful experiences that one can have

on a visit to Tiruvannamalai.

Because by pass heart surgery is a major operation,

My guess is that it will be a long time

before there are any more talks at Ananda Ramana.

I hope that people give Sri Ganesan a break from visitation

after he gets home,

so that he has a few months of quiet time to allow his body to heal.

If I remember the posting corectly, it mentioned 7 by passes.

I have heard of a double by pass and triple by pass,

but I had never heard of 7 by passes before.

I remember in one of Sri Ganesan's satsangs

he mentioned that he once underwent an operation

with no drugs to kill the pain.

He believed there was a way to remain in bliss

even while undergoing excrutiating pain.

He said it worked,

and he was able to experience the peace

even though the body was undergoing such pain.

Take care,

with Love,

Michael L.
