There is no time.it's a mode of convenience built be man,

Yhere is no space, the picture assumed in his addled brain,

Nor body, just molecules, atoms,to revolve in Self's own span,

No mind,a narrow guage to measure Self,in a dreamer's train,

Nor Good nor evil, right nor wrong, these are things of the Age.

Nothing perceived or conceived is Real,so states the Awakened Sage.

Note:

I wrote this poem Sunlight when I was with Robert Adams when he was alive. It is

based on some of

his utterances {See Silence of the Heart Vol 1}a masterful book which gives

Bhagavan's teaching in

simple down to earth everyday language .Robert was with Ramana from 1947-50.

Dear Alan,

Do you have some anecdotes you would like to share of your days with the

late Robert Adams?

Ben.

---Dear Ben,Robert's presence was one of palpable love and silence .He did

however dislike any

false solemnity and shows of so called religiosity. he would puncture this with

acts of humour

bordering on the outrageous .Once,I recalled he was asked to bless someone's

new house .A big

party was given and Robert turned up dressed like Columbo with a raincoat, turned

up collar and

slouch hat .In his pocket he held what looked like a revolver .When the time

came for the house to

be blessed he took out the revolver, and pointed what turned out to be a water

pistol in his

pocket at a white wall, and squirted it with water .He then declared this house

was blest .He

then stood at the fromt door and as late guests arrived they received a squirt

from Robert's

pistol .There are numerous stories like this .He often played the fool to put

off non serious

people who could not discern who he really was , and sightseeres. He shunned

publicity and did not

want his Satsangs to turn into a circus and attract Guru-hoppers .They were

meant for serious

students who moved to Sedona ,got jobs and stayed with him ,practicing what he

eloquently taught.
