Guest guest
Jim, as a moderator of this list I say it openly to you: it is enough now! People have shared what is there to share - here and on the other lists - and that's wonderful. Indeed I would like to go much more in sharing about practice as sadhakas to one another. There is something to learn here. But this all seems not to satisfy you in any way and I wonder what you really want to know. If you are seeking experiences of self-realized teachers - there are more than enough found meanwhile and you can ask them all. So what's the problem? Gabriele - jim37rich RamanaMaharshi Friday, January 30, 2004 8:11 PM [RamanaMaharshi] Re: The experience of the Self - Ben Ben,Again I'll ask: What is your experience? In fact, it seemed to start just after you started posting here. If I were to guess, I'd say that you've actually done most of the "criticizing". And since criticism doesn't bother me in the least, let me just carry on a little in your own vein. I don't find anything wrong with criticism. People can criticize me and I'll criticize them. I don't even need a motive. It ain't no thing (An American English coloquialism). Its all just anonther darned episode to me. What's your problem with it? I mean after all your the one doing it. And then after having done it you criticize it and in so doing criticize yourself. Wow Jim. Relax a little. Everything's all right. Trust me. :-) Who am I? Guest guest
Hi Gabriele: RamanaMaharshi, "gabriele ebert" <g.ebert@g...> wrote: > Jim, > > as a moderator of this list I say it openly to you: it is enough now! Who is wondering? > If you are seeking experiences of self-realized teachers - there are more than enough found meanwhile and you > can ask them all. So what's the problem? Who wants to know? ....and.... Who cares? Using Ramana's formula for self-realizaiton the answer would be: Me, I, Gabriele want to know! I care! Then you ask yourself: Who is this me, this Gabriele that cares and wants to know? Am I really Gabriele? Am I really this person, this me? Am I this individual/body/mind/personality, ego, thing, entity, object - known as Gabriele? If yes, abide as a person. If no, abide as that which is not a person/body/mind/etc. (From another post): What, in your own personal or otherwise experience, happens after the final question: Who am I? Ramesh S. Balsekar: For whom? That is the whole point, Gary. The question – Who is Gary? The answer – There is no Gary! Ramesh: Gary, the ego, doesn't exist. If Gary doesn't exist then what exists? Only the Source. Source is all there is. Ask yourself who is doing, thinking, feeling, reacting, complaining, questioning, etc. as often as you can and a time will surely come when you suddenly know that you are not a person/body/mind/ego and never was, and that the person, etc. that you took yourself for does not now or ever did exist - except as an image/concept in your own mind. When you stop believing in the personal object you have believed yourself to be since very early childhood, it will vanish and that which you are will remain. Things will be much better for you after that blessed remembrance. good luck, jim > > Gabriele > > > - > jim37rich > RamanaMaharshi > Friday, January 30, 2004 8:11 PM > [RamanaMaharshi] Re: The experience of the Self - Ben > > > Ben, > > Again I'll ask: What is your experience?
