Guest guest
I stand in the centre of a hall of distorting mirrors. There are a thousand different people all around me. But it never occurs to me to look at myself. In my dreams, there are characters of many different types. One may even be 'me', but it is never the 'real I' that sleeps in a bed. My only path to liberation is through the others all around me in life. Yet there are no others. Ergo, I can never find liberation - which is proof that I never lost it. What a riddle, this maya! Simultaneously indispensible and non-existent. Without it there is no attainment, yet attainment is nothing else but it's disappearance! It is like the cocoon of the silkworm, who breaks his fast by devouring it. As Richard Bach puts it: "What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls a butterfly"."Argue for your limitations, and sure enough, they're yours".
