Guest guest
om namo bhagavate sri ramanaya ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Today we will visit the Old Hall - and have a silent meditation here. The Old Hall joins the Samadhi Hall wall to wall. A window opposite to Bhagavan's couch opens to Bhagavan's Samadhi. The room is relatively small and has a warm atmosphere. If one enters, Bhagavan's couch is found left hand side, surrounded by a wooden fence. It is an old couch, with castors under it and a blanket over it, which is changed on occasions. The big photo of Bhagavan on the sofa remembers his continued presence. The Old Hall is also called the "Meditation Hall" as people who come here come for obeisence and / or meditation. It is always very silent inside. No one talks. I was astonished to find it mostly uncrowded - compared with all the visitors who come to the Ashram. Only on the day of fullmoon it was really full, so that one has to look to find a place there. At other times there was more then enough space, also directly in front of Bhagavan's couch. When the singing of the Parayana in the Samadhi Hall took place - it could also be heard from here very clearly. For myself it was the most wonderful place in the whole Ashram. Also it was here that one evening Bhagavan taught me his lesson. Let's stay here for a while in silence and listen to Him ... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PS: Only the photo from outside the Hall is my own, the other two are copies from the homepage of Ramanashram. There is no own photo from inside.
