Guest guest
A pious soul and a drunkard like me Are distant strangers, like tiger and flea. Look at the gulf that lies 'tween the two My heart sickens if the Priest's method be true. Shed the cloak of faquir and monkish cell , Hypocrites usually end, ass up in hell ! Where with them is a Magian Temple mound And the wine of ecstacy where Sufis are found ? Abstinence and bigotry do not suit This vagabond after sweeter fruit . Listening to sermons and vulgar tunes Does`nt fetch my Friend on wet afternoons . Can any lamp that's burned out and done Catch that light from the candle of the Sun ? How could I ever leave the House of my Friend ? Now, that the dust on His door-sill does send Healing balm to these eyes blind with illusion, And cures me from delirium and delusion. So don't waste your time on Hafiz my dear, To gain peace, quiet and freedom from fear. Find a True Lover like my Friend, who knows, How to bring peace, love and silent repose . _________ BT Broadband - Free modem offer, sign up online today and save £80 http://bt..co.uk
