It is not so bad when the Body is gone, but it is an invitation to exploitation and fraud when the so called gurus are still here....People who do this are really in need of a form to worship, even though Ramana was an Advaitin, albeit a unique one. So they are using Bhakti as opposed to complete Jnana that's all. How they behave and what their Sadhana is, is more to the point.
