Hari Om

on returning to Virginia Beach - I was greeted with a copy of volume

One of the Collected Works of Vasishtta Kavyakantha Ganapati Muni

I have been drawn to Ganapati Muni's writtings since first chanting

the Ramana Gita and the 40 verses in praise of Bhagavan Ramana

Maharshi

having just chanted the Umaatrishatii ( the 300 names of Uma ) for

the first time ever - the bhava is so intense

I have yet to read the Umaasahasram ( a thousand verses in praise

of "Umaa" the Divine Mother )- this work was part of his tapas in

gratitude to the Great Goddess for giving him the Maharshi as his

Guru. this work is the magnum opus of Vasishta Ganapati Muni. Who

himself is an incarnation of Lord Ganesha as Raman Maharshi is

Siva's other son Lord Skanda - this work is qouted by Vama Deva - Dr

Frawley in his book the ten Wisdon Goddesses

It is sad how many have cheapened Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi's

teachings by running around saying nothing but I AM THAT and leaving

their ego's hang out all over the place and claiming enlightnment -

they have no idea the richness of chanting the 108 names of Bhagavan

Ramana Maharshi or in chanting the sridaksinamurti stotram, the

catvaarimshat ( 40 verses in praise of Sri Ramana ), the upadesha

saara ( Essence of Instruction ), and on and on

these great gifts have a way of stilling the mind and rippening the

jiva

Jai Bhagavan

Love baba
