Guest guest
29th July 2004 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY The joy and pleasure earned by activities are only temporary. Nevertheless, one should not desist from karma (action). How, then, is one to act? One should practice detachment and desirelessness towards the results of one's actions. That is to say, one should treat all actions as yagnas (sacrifices) performed for the glory of God and not for selfish ends; for earning lasting merits and not for temporary benefits. Action done in this spirit will not cause either greed or grief. It will cause only a sense of fulfillment of one's duty. India Matrimony: Find your life partner online. Guest guest
Namaste, thank you for this nice words... i'm sure that with the love of God people will act as good they can act....and that one day their heart will be filled up with this love....whenever it is any action by love don't expect any "result" or advancement....if so...then, it can't be by real love sometimes it's nice to have a dream...like a whole world living in peace and love anyway i believe that the world can only be "changed" by own inner changes.......the best we can do is....the own realization...long path to go so maybe the world will appear "different" one day....depending on our spirituality the world appear as good as our heart can percieve it... the world appear in darkness when our heart is in darkness... the world appear in light when our heart is filled up with love and light.... one can practise tonnes of yoga and learn endless of texts...and listen to some great Gurus....but this will only be food for the ego if we don't start this spiriual path with the wish that this ego die one day....by endless love wish the hearts be filled up with much love..... with love Marc RamanaMaharshi, Alagesan Palanivelu <alagesan61> wrote: > > 29th July 2004 > THOUGHT FOR THE DAY > > The joy and pleasure earned by activities are only temporary. > > Nevertheless, one should not desist from karma (action). > > How, then, is one to act? > > One should practice detachment and desirelessness towards the results of one's actions.
