Guest guest
The meaning of om namo bhagavate sri ramanaya is: obeisence to Bhagavan Sri Ramana. Ramana-devotees like to chant it loudly and silently. There is a story how it came to this. Indeed Bhagavan Ramana himself gave it to a devotee: "In 1945/46 Sri Munagala Venkataramiah's daughter, Smt. Kamakshi, came to reside with him at the Ashram for a month. One morning she entered the hall at about 4.30 a.m. No one else was there except Sri Bhagavan. Kamkshi paid her respects to Sri Bhagavan and when she got up, Sri Bhagavan called her and showed her a small slip of wich he had written OM NAMO BHAGAVATE SRI RAMANAYA. Then he told her to chant it always, which she did throughout her life." (in: "Bhagavan Sri Ramana", p. 81) Kind Regards Gabriele RamanaMaharshi, Labirintul Sufletului <labirintul_sufletului> wrote: > What is the meaning of: "OM NAMO BHAGAVATE SRI RAMANAYA!"? > > Thank you! > > Om Shanti!
