Dear Sir,

In the beginning, a speck of the supreme contemplated or played and it

reflected. In mother worship, this is called Lalitha.Just liken this to a fan.

When switched on, it moves and generates wind. Now the fan is switched off.But

the wind continues to be generated until the fan stops. The wind is the

Maaya. The movement is Lalitha, meaning play.Movement here is energy like the

sun shine.

The sun shines on the water. When the surface of the water breaks into ripples,we

see numerous little suns on the water. The individual souls are like the

reflections of the sun in the water. If there be no water, there are no

reflected images. In the same way, the individual souls are the reflections of

the supreme being on the ocean of Maaya and they become one with the supreme on

the removal of that maaya.

Maaya is therefore created by our mind. That is why we need to give up our

thoughts. The more we think the more we feed the mind to be real.

Lalitha in her play had already done the thinking and knows how exactly we are

going to do and live.

This is the reason why Ramana encourages us to know our true 'I'.We need to feel

the presence of our self.

One way of overcoming Maaya is to know and follow your mothers Love for her

child that is always unique and cherished. That love can take us to the source

of 'I'.Ramana himself cherished his mothers Love.
