Guest guest
Dear David, Thanks for the wonderful exposition. I think I have, after long moments of deliberation, grasped what you are conveying. You said it very precisely, "When the 'I' dies as a consequence of self-enquiry, there is no longer a seer who sees and objects that are seen." When Ramana Maharshi was asked what would a man see when he realised the Self, he replied, "There is no seeing. Seeing is only being. The state of Self-realisation, as we call it, is not ataining something new or reaching some goal ......... That stage (when the Self is realised) transcends the seer and the seen. There is no seer there to see anything. The seer who is seeing all this now ceases to exist and the Self alone remains." (From 'Being As You Are' pg. 11). Being as I AM.
