Guest guest
Dear zoya, Your decision to leave for Tiruvannamalai for good and stay there is excellent. I sincerely believe that strong desire which you got is definitely due to Bhagavan's grace. Although Bhagavan stated that there is no significance for any place to carry out sadhana, he mentioned about prarabdha which ultimately decides the events. Getting such strong desire is definitely prarabdha. When we go there and stay there , definitely our sadhana is more focused compared to other places, for we are always reminded why we came there for a purpose and there was no other worldly activity which is not the case with other places and there will be distractions definitely for which one has to make extra effort to overcome. Although I was drawn to Sri Ramana in 1990, I had no definite plan till 2000 as to where I should spend my retired life. Since 2000 I was drawn to Sri Ramana very strongly after a dream experience. After that I thought why not spend my retired life at Tiruvannamali near the Ashram by acquiring a small piece of land. When I went to India, on a holiday, I mentioned this to my nephew who was looking my affairs casually as I was not very serious about the idea at that time. I came back and resumed my duties and 6 months passed. But the desire was slowly consolidating. Every day I do morning walk between 5 and 6 AM . One day I was doing the walk in the long corridor of my house as it was raining that day. During the walk I felt a sudden surge that I should implement my decision to settle near Ashram more seriously and was thinking that the first thing I should do was to acquire a small plot near the ashram. I was thinking whom I should request to purchase the plot on my behalf and whether I should request a colleague in my earlier job who was staying in Chittoor which is nearer to Tiruvannamalai. Immediately at the same time the telephone rang. I picked up the phone and to my surprise it was my nephew. Why the surprise is that to India I only make calls and nobody telephones from that side as it is very costly. The purpose of the call was that he recalled my mentioning about purchasing plot in Tiruvannmanlai and asked me whether he should go to Tiruvannamali and purchase the plot. Thought it could be termed as coincidence, I though it was Bhagavan's will and grace and told him to go ahead and purchase the plot which he did immediately. I will join you some time next year after retirement Why I mentioned all this was that when I read your posting, I remembered every thing and when other family circumstances permit it why not spend the rest of the life near Arunachala? If that is not possible the alternative is always there ?that is ? wherever we are that is Ramanasramam. But if our prarabdha draws there why not we should be happy about it? Guest guest
Thank you for sharing this wonderful story. Perhaps the devotees who have come together through the Grace of Bhagavan in the Cyber Sangha can come to Arunachala and visit you and Zoya and Suri and others. We can make a stop in England and pick up Miles on the way! :-). Harsha rpodury wrote: > > Dear zoya, > > Your decision to leave for Tiruvannamalai for good and stay > there is > excellent.
