Guest guest
I had been to Ramanasramam recently. THough I had been to THiruvannamalai many times earlier, I have not been to asramam sofar. Last time, when I was performing giripradakshanam, someone pointed and said this is the Asram. I had been thinking about going to Asramam for about three months and suddenly decided to take a three week break. Reached Madras and headed straing to the Ashram. Prior to this, I had communicated to Ashram for accomodation and had obtained confirmation. Mr Ramanan was very sweet and helpful. I was spending most of my time in the Old and new Meditation hall. Everyday, I climbed up the mountain to reach Skandasramam.Personally, I felt strong vibrations Skandasramam. A few minutes of sitting calms down all the mind activities and I could get a glimpse of thoughtlessness. TO me It was an out of the world experience. On point definitely to be mentioned is about the food. The Food is simple and tastes great. I am convinced that the reason for the exceptional taste is not only the ingredients. In short, unforgettable and draws like magnet. In Ramana, Vijay
Guest guest
Dear Vijay, What grace to be able to go to the place where Maharshi lived his life of purity and service. Like you I also found the food very special. I didn't stay in the Ashram, but got invited for Lunch a few times by the Manager. It was just bliss. The taste was heavenly and the atmosphere especially in the old dining hall is highly charged. It is one of my favourite places in the ashram. The afternoon tea must be the best tea I have ever tasted. Surely because it is made from the milk of well cared for cows living in the bliss of Arunachala Ramana. I used to sip it ever so slowly as not to waste the taste of a single drop. But it is not only us Ramana devotees, who enjoy the food in the Ashram. I have heard a few people say, that the food served at Ramanashramam is famous among "Guruhoppers" for being the best of all Ashrams in India. Maharshi took a great interest in the cooking and often lend a helping hand. With that spirit cooks today prepare and serve the food in the ashram, I am sure. with Love chris Oh Arunachala, your daughter goes hungry. When will you let me taste the food from your divine kitchen and feed me with your own hands again? How cruel of you to let me taste heaven and then send me away. Let this torture be over, I beg you, Oh Arunachala! > > On point definitely to be mentioned is about the food. The Food is > simple and tastes great.
