East, West, and Indigenous

Dear Ravi and Everyone,

Osiyo! Hello! You make a very good point here. Yes,

both movements; East and West have a lot to continue

to learn from each other. And there is a third

movement, I think--which is the Indigenous respect

for, and relationship to, the natural environment.

East stresses the inner journey; West stresses outer

material accomplishment, and Indigenous stresses that

which is enduring, that which continues on, and

provides for the survival of all human and earthly

life. All three movements need to find harmony in our

own lives, and all three are trying desperately to

find harmony together on Mother Earth at this time.

May we all find this integration and balance, the

"tohidu" (Cherokee for balance, harmony and wellbeing,

which is a state of peace), and may we all live this

and share this with all our relations.

In love and in peace,

Sister Judith, Hermit of Sarada
