Orphanages in Tiruvannamalai

Dear Zoya,

I stayed at Daya Dharma Guest House, and talked quite a bit with

Sathyan. He said that there are 250 kids at the orphanage, and that

the Guest House is one way that they have to support the orphanage. I

was impressed with Sathyan. He was a young man, seemed very gentle,

very focused on a life of service. He said that he had 'done

business' and was successful, but that service was more important to

him.

When we arrived in Tiruvannamalai with the SAT group, they all had

housing with Ramanasramam. My wife and I had decided that we would

stay elsewhere before the trip, and I had tried to make arrangements

before the trip, unsuccessfully. Michael, in this group, suggested

various guest houses near Ramanasramam, that he said he had easily

found accomidation. We took a 'rickshaw' (3-wheeled motorized cart)

to a place from Michael's list. It was full. So was the next place

nearby. Then we came to Daya Dharma and Sathyan.

We stayed there for a week. I loved meditating on the roof before

dawn, meditating with Arunachala.

Not two,

Richard

Dear Richard;

Thanks for the information about the orphanage and

your visits to Arunachala.

I am sure you had a wonderful experience.

I also stayed at Dhya Dharma and had a wonderful view

of Arunachala from the roof top.

It is truly fascinating. I can't wait to go there

again.

Thanks for all your postings,

Zoya.
