Guest guest
An addition to Dora's manuscript from yesterdays chatroom, continues in general where Dora stopped. The question about the Christian belief was not followed up much and can be left aside. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rajba: nanyar, can you please explain the issuew with the mind travelling inside? Wouldn't that mean that the mind would be lead to the Self during the process or am I wrong here? Miles: If the Self is seen as an object it doesn't matter where you put it - it will always avade you. One does nt travel to the Self. One is always That. It is the source of the mind that need be sought. If one sees the Self as something to be travelled to it will be like trying to step on the head of one's shadow as one walks towards it. Whether the mind puts the direction as within or without makes no difference, it is still mindtuff. Murthy: Can Prarabda be said to influence both subtle body (mind) and gross body thereby determining if one will do vichara in this life or not? John: a Ramesh idea ... Miles: The important thing to do is find out who thinks this way. No. Vichara is not determined by karma at all. To say so is to deny Grace. John, Ramesh needs this idea to bolster his theory that one can do nothing. The truth is that there is one 'kriya' which is eternally beyond karma. ...... Prarabdha is fictitious and only exists as long as the individual believes it so. Vichara is the ultimate kriya which slices through all such things. For it there is no karmic barrier. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The chat went for much longer, but I stopped here writing. in Sri Ramana Gabriele
