Guest guest
»» »»» »»» Dear Friends, Dora has mailed me the transcript for Friday’s chat session for editing and forwarding to the Group. The sessions can be rather strange, in that when people experience connection problems, their icon may still appear in the window, even when they are absent; so it is not always easy to know what is going on. We’re all indebted to Dora for recording these sessions and making them available to members: ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Om Namo Bhagavate Sri Ramanaya Gabriele: Is there any topic ...? One can also be here very silent ... and do 'vichara'. Dora: “All finished. Heart-talk is all talk. All talk must end in Silence only”... Sri Bhagavan Simha: I have to leave now ... To continue my ‘vichara’ off line. Thanks every one. Gabriele: Om Namo Bhagavate Sri Ramanaya. Dora: Only in Silence can we watch the inner turmoil that is going on with in us ..... and can also watch how gradually it subsides Gabriele: Yes ... The turmoil is bound to the “I” Dora: Some time back in one of the posts ... Sri Miles has written about this ‘sakshi’ (witness) ... and I’m trying to recollect the message ... Can some one help me? Dora: Is there any separateness between the observer and the object that is observed? ‘Who’ is watching ‘what’? Gabriele: That would be meditation on an object - but ‘vichara’ is not such like... Miles: Bhagavan has explained that the concept of witness was often misunderstood. He said that the word ‘sakshi’ must be understood as ‘presence’ — like the Sun which, although it must be present for all activities, takes part in none. Otherwise, ‘witness’ is a dualistic term. And, when misunderstood, we get all sorts of things ‘watching’ all sorts of things. ( After this for a short while I lost contact with chat room ) John: For all members: the Pope's condition has suddenly worsened; all now pray for serene last hours for him. He is said to be remarkably lucid ... Everything attacks at once ...reduced arterial pressure; Last moments of the burden of the body for him... Gabriele: May he have a peaceful end —The body dies — He bears it bravely John: Indeed, he handles it beautifully ... The body is dying, soon to be released. We may join in this Sat Sangh Gabriele: Chris is still on the phone here... John: Somehow reminiscent of Sri Bhagavan's last days ... Shallow breathing ... He insists on staying in the Vatican, refusing admission into hospital ... and Friday also Gabriele: Indeed John: It seems it could be merely minutes now ...minutes ... He commands such respect, from those of “other” faiths, etc particularly Gabriele: Yes - it reminds of Bhagavan John: His respect spreads so much wider than Roman Catholicism Gabriele: Blood pressure low ... Chris: Good evening everybody, managed to get into the chat after some hassles. The Pope is all over the news. May his departure be easy and may he be absorbed into the Self John: Indeed, may it be thus Gabriele: Easter Time John: Such a huge crowd outside the Ashram on Bhagavan's Mahasamadhi Day ... So many police Gabriele: Lost Conciousness ... John: All that time —on April 14th 1950 — Sri Lakshmana Swami’s photo of Sri Bhagawan fell off the wall ... He got up, to replace it and go see what was going on, but then he fell into deep ‘samadhi’ and came out of his trance at about 11 o’ clock ... It was ‘all over’... Chris: On Easter Sunday the Pope struggled to speak to the people but could not, and then tears rolled down his cheeks. It was so touching to see The doors of St. Peter has been shut... That could mean he is gone... Gabriele: Yes Dora: Arunachala Siva — Arunachala Siva — Arunachala Siva Chris: Om Arunachala Shiva John: ... And the Tears of Bliss rolled down His cheeks. Sri Bhagavan had left the body ... Gabriele: May this happen to the Pope too John: The pain must have been excruciating, at least for those who viewed the scene. Gabriele: Even Islamists feel touched John: Indeed, as all faiths and even “non-religious” ones do likewise. The hallmark of a Great Man — a MahAtma; This too can — and should — be vichara’d... Gabriele: All looking up to his window Chris: This morning the Pope demanded that the Stations of the Cross should be read to him Gabriele: When the window is closed he has ‘died’... It is like with Bhagavan when all were watching the fan ... so many people standing there John: Yes indeed... As long as the fan was revolving, it meant that there was a body to fan... Chris: Dear friends ... I am saying ‘Good Bye’ for now; I feel like sitting quietly, and plunging into the Heart Cave... doing ‘vichara’; Om Arunachala Shiva. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Sri Ramanarpanamasthu Dora
