In this spirit, just go to the doctor and get yourself treated rather than turning this into a major discussion. Somebody asked such a question in the context of driving mosquitoes away when one meditates. Bhagavan said, to the effect, "You will not be denied realization because you drive them away nor will you get it just because you endure the mosquito bites. So by all means drive them away." If the illness you talk about it serious and incurable, then bhagavan example is the best that we can try and follow to the best of our ability i.e., accept the illness as our prarabdha that the body has to go through while at the same time enquiring who has the pain or suffering. Finally, if someone else is suffering, we should do what we can to help alleviate it, as bhagavan has said elsewhere. Swami _______________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
