Guest guest
Once Echammal got herself into fits of nausea and vomiting. I advised her to go and tell Bhagavan about it. She made a wry face and scolded me: "Must I tell him everything? Can't he see for himself? Must I send reports to him?" I could not keep quiet and ran to Bhagavan and told him all about Echammal. He started grumbling: "What do you people want me to do? It is all Echammal's fault. She strains and worries unnecessarily. There was a time when she fed me and other devotees, and it was all right, for she had the means and we were without food. Now it is the other way around: she is without means and we all get enought to eat, yet she insists that she should go on feeding me. Instead of keeping quiet, she worries and tires herself and gets sick in the end. Who can help her? She shapes her own fate. Well, let her face what it brings." Nevertheless Echammal's trouble disappeared at once and did not return. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ from Ramana Smrti by Voruganti Krishnayya ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
