Guest guest
Saying that "I have not been chalked out" for self-realization presupposes the assumption that I know what has been chalked out for me. Hence that statement contradicts itself even logically. The only course for us is to persevere. Bhagavan has also said that pre-destination does not apply to inner spiritual sadhana and that doubting itself is the greatest impediment. In the Maharshi's gospel, bhagavan has said that "when the sun rises, some buds blossom, not all. That is not the fault of the sun." Similarly when the sunlight of the guru's grace comes, the bud that has otherwise readied itself to bloom (by sadhana) will receive that light of grace and reach final fruition. Guest guest
Dear Swami, Thanks for your clarification. I notice the subtle error in my thinking. As long as there is a 'someone' that is doubting (or even hopefully expecting), realisation can not take place. And, when that 'someone' is not there, realisation has taken place. sundar RamanaMaharshi, "Swaminathan Venkataraman" <nachiketas@h...> wrote: > Saying that "I have not been chalked out" for self-realization presupposes > the assumption that I know what has been chalked out for me.
