Guest guest
Dear Peter, Thank you for this quote about Bhagavan; I also feel the importance of remembering that each soul has its own journey to take in this life. We can neither see, nor truly know what the shape of that journey is for another soul. All we can do is humbly offer what has been helpful for us; making suggestions for others to either take or leave behind. They are free, as we are free. I believe Bhagavan completely respects this innate freedom of each soul that comes to him; but this is also why it remains even more important for each person to read the original teachings. When we read and study the original teachings for ourselves, our own inner guidance has the best chance of "catching" the essence and the subtle meanings by rendering them within our own life context and personal idiom. There is no "one way", and never did Bhagavan mean his teachings to represent a "one way". Liberation is for all souls and in all ways possible. THE QUOTE: Lucy Cornelsson's observation of Ramana: "he never discouraged the visitor in his own spiritual endeavour, whatever the outer form may be. Because he knew that the sincere seeker after Truth is always guided from within." with love in Bhagavan, Sister Judith~ Interfaith Contemplative Order of Sarada (OSA)
Guest guest
Dear Sister Judith, " When we read and study the original teachings for ourselves, our own inner guidance has the best chance of "catching" the essence and the subtle meanings by rendering them within our own life context and personal idiom." Thank you for putting it so elegantly. What strange wonder that - as so often happens in the world - anyone should even consider putting themselves between a person and that 'inner guidance'. Best wishes, Peter
