Evans-Wentz's question: "Is not brahmacharya (celibacy) necessary for realisation of the Self?". The questioner is using the meaning of 'brahmacharya' in its common parlance, i.e. that of sexual abstinence. Bhagavan goes straight to the root-meaning of the word.
