Guest guest
Dear Group, In three weeks I will be going back to Tiruvannamali for a couple of weeks. This time I will be travelling without my wife, who will stay here with her 87 year old mother, now living with us. There will be another from SAT travelling with me. He will stay at Sri Ramanasramam. I will stay at a nearby guest house. Dharma Daya I think is its name. I loved meditating with Arunachala from its roof top early in the morning to dawn. I also loved sitting in the old hall, and at Skananasram and Virupakshu cave. Part of the trip is to be with Arunachala and visit Sri Ramanasramam. I also will continue my checking out details of life there for a westener. I met a communiity of westeners there last time, living there because of the spiritual depth of the place. I will be able to talk with them about life there. (I still think we will probably go live there for a few years, whatever the westerners say.) I will also go to Madurai, and the room in which Ramana realized the Self. And to Minsakshi (spelling?) temple, where Ramama also would take refuge as a boy. And briefly go up the mountain to Kotaikanal. This is a town at 7000 ft. in the greeen mountains. I have heard this is a good place to go to when it is 110 degrees in Tiruvannamali (April and May?) I look forward so much to being with Arunachala again. I cannot explain it. During the trip, I will find ways to check in with the group. There are internet cafes near the Asram. And I will take some CDs of satsang with Nome, and listen to satsangs each day. Are any on this group perhaps going to be in the area in mid January? Not two, Richard
