Guest guest
It has sometimes been said that Atma Vichara (Self-enquiry) should not be given to unripe souls. A comment in "Letters from Sri Ramanasramam" by Suri Nagamma thows some light on this. Bhagavan's comment also implies that just because we are already the Self, that does not mean sadhana (spiritual practice) is not necessary. Bhagavan: " If a person is told he is the Godhead, Brahman itself, and that he is already liberated, he may not do any spiritual practices, thinking he already has that which is required and does not want anymore. That is why these vedantic matters should not be told to spiritually undeveloped people (anadhikaris); there is no other reason."
