e.g. Does one keep striving to hold ones breath longer and longer each day ...

or does one do a regular 1-1-1 (one count inhale, one hold, one exhale) type of

thing. Does one try to slow down the breathing ...

.... hold breath after each inhale and make this a habit ...Some precise

technique would be appreciated.

), please read the last paragraph that tells you how to use breath control for

stilling the mind. Here is the paragraph:If the seeker has not the needful

strength of devotion, sothat the breathing does not stop of itself, he is

advised to bring

about suspension of the breath by the simple method ofwatching the breathing

process; when this watch is steadilykept up, the breath slows down and finally

stops; then themind becomes quiet free from distracting thoughts and

can be then devoted to the Quest.Om sRi ramaNArpaNamstu. On 3/12/06, Ananda

Can anyone tell me more on "breath control" as a means of controlling the mind.

All the books of Bhagavan talk of this, but i could find no elaboration.Does it
