From the day, the later adorned the peetam, all the trikala Aradhanams to Malolan was performed by him. Our Chinna Jeeyar (i.e Srimath Devanarvilagam Azhagiyasingar)would prostrate to Periya Jeeyar twice in a day. Just before Abhigamana Aradhanam starts in the Mutt, Chinna Jeeyar would prostrate to Periya Jeeyar and then recite Arulapaadu for Periya Jeeyar (Could not find the equivalent in English: Periya Jeeyarai Arulapaaditu Azhaithu abhigamana Aradhanathirku Ezhundaruluthal). After the routine activies at Mutt, Sri Injimedu Azhagiyasingar would start the Kalakshepam and would explain the intricacies of that day's topic. Then he would stop at some point and would ask Chinna Jeeyar to continue the Kalakshepam (Ingu Sadhikalam endru Chinna Jeeyarai parthu solluvar). Chinna Jeeyar would continue the Kalakshepam by starting with "Adiyen" and prostration (thendan samarpithal). Mahans who have attended the Kalakshepams of these two Azhagiyasingars together would wonder as if Sri. Alavandar and Sri. Ramanujar have taken rebirth as these two Azhagiyasingars to show the Acharya-Sishya Hrudayam. Sri. U.Ve Purisai N. Krishnamachariar has described this Vaibhavam as "SEra Serthiyai Kandu Kalikka Sri Alavandarum Sri Bashyakararum Inda Irandu AzhagiyasinagargalAga Avatharithar polum". Upon seeing the Vidwat of Chinna Jeeyar, Periya Jeeyar would instruct some of his disciples to directly undergo studies under the Chinna Jeeyar. Chinna Jeeyar Swami would not care about his health and would contiuously involve himself with the Mutt activities. Once Sri. Injimedu Azhagiyasingar changed a Shloka from Sri Ramayana to drive the point that Sri. Devanarvilagam Azhagiyasingar has to take care of his health amidst all his activities. This shows the affection and care of Periya Jeeyar on Chinna Jeeyar Swami. For this, our Chinna Jeeyar had replied that "Taking care of one's body is not the dharma of a Sanyasi". After getting the Niyamanam from Sri. Injimedu Azhagiyasingar, Sri. Devanarvilagam Azhagiyasingar would perform the Pancha Samaskaram to devotees. As Periya Jeeyar Swami took ill, he had to cut short the sancharams to Vada Desams beyond Hyderabad and returned to Thiruvallur. He directed Chinna Jeeyar Swami to involve in full charge for Sri Malola Vidvat Sadhas and other duties. Sri Injimedu Azhagiyasingar attained Nitya Vibhuti in the month of Thai, 1953. Srimath Devanarvilagam Azhagiyasingar built a brindavanam for his Acharyan on the banks of Thiruvallur temple tank and peformed his last rites with great devotion. Pattabishekam was done for Srimath Devanarvilagam Azhagiyasingar with pomp and splendour. For some time, our Swami stayed in Thiruvallur and prayed to Sri VeeraRaghavan. On Panguni 9th, Sunday 1953 at 6:30a.m., Srimad 43rd Azhagiyasingar did yathradhaanam and started for his dhig-Vijayam. The first sankalpa Mahotsawam was done at Sri. Ahobilam. After completing his sancharam in Andhra Pradesh, he also toured Mysore Rajyam, Malayala Desam, Thiruvaangur Samasthanam and Tamilnadu. The kings of Mysore, Kochi and Thiruvaangur welcomed and prayed to Srimad Azhagiyasingar and Sri. Malolan. Sri 42nd Azhagiyasingar had wished that our Siddhantam should be propagated throughout India and hence wanted to do Sancharam in N. India. Keeping this in mind, during the Adhi-Sethu Snanam, he determined to have Ganga Snanam (implicit reference for touring N. India). Once again, after visiting and praying to the Lord of thiruvallur, he started his tour to Madras, Hyderabad, Bombay, Pushkaram. From there, he took bath in Haridwar and peformed thirumanjanam to Periya Perumal. Very soon, he left for Badri and did mangalasaasanam to Sri. Badri Narayanan and returned back to Rishikesh to observe that year's sankalpa mahotsavam. After completing the sankalpam, he vowed to return to Thiruvallur and visited Delhi and Kurukshetram. He travelled all along the country and visited around 106 divya desams. Some of the villages have not seen a Azhagiyasingar and Malolan for 50 yrs, 100 yrs or so . During his sancharams, Sri Azhagiyasingar would instruct everyone to forgo duraacharam and adopt SatAcharam in one's lifestyle. During his reign as pontiff, Sri Sannidhi Satari would not be offered to any Brahmin who does not have a Shika irrespective of whether one is poor or rich. He would in turn advice them to have Shika. He would go from one village to another treating the poor and rich alike. -- To be Continued Sources: Srinrusimha Priya magazine : 1953 - 1957 issues.
