Guest guest
Dear Bhagavatas: As the moderator of "Sri Ranga Sri", I wish to place the following for your information: "Sri Ranga Sri" is mainly a journal for discussing Sampradayic matters for a better understanding of our Satsampradayam. This will be obvious from the Regular Issues released so far, containing, for example, topics on Grantha Chatushtayam viz. "Desikamrutham", "SriBashyamrutham","Gitaamrutham", "Prabandaamrutham" "Sri Ranga Vijayam", "Lessons for kids" etc. We have been busy with the arrangements for the "Swami Desika Tirunakshatra Mahotsavam" slated for 29th September 2001 at Buffalo, New York, which left us little time for releasing regular issues for quite sometime now. We hope to resume regular issues after the Mahotsavam. The reason why postings on various matters (other than "Regular Issues of the journal, which number about 54) were featured is to afford facilities for "Reader participation" only. The views expressed by the authors of these postings are not necessarily those of "Sri Ranga Sri". Discussions on "Fate, Freewill and Bhagavat Sankalpam" etc. and linking them to the recent tragic events and such other sensitive issues are likely to generate unintended and undesirable reactions, inspite of best of intentions and forceful disclaimers. Bhagavatas are requested to desist from posting discussions on such topics. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. Let me hasten to assure you that this is not any abdication of our feelings. All we can do at the moment is to offer our fervant prayers to Divyadhampathis to save the entire humanity from any tragedies in future because in our Sampradayam all are "Vishnuputras" and "Vishnu sambandhis", grant good thoughts, words and deeds to all concerned, and give the strength to withstand the trauma to those injured and breaved in the tragedy. Our Acharyas have advised recitation in each of our homes for universal welfare, Desika Stotras like Abheethi Sthavam, Sudarsana Ashtakam, Kamasikashtakam, Paduka Sahasram Slokam 17 of Marathaka Padddhathi : Animisha yuvatheenaam aartha naadhopasaanthyai tvayi Vinihitha paade leelayaa Ranganaathe / dadhathi charana rakshe daithya soudhaani noonam marathaka ruchibhis te mankshu doorvaankuraani // Let us do these as many times as possible.
