Dear Bhagavadhothamas:

Dear Bhagavadhothamas:

Adiyen had the great bhagyam of attending Swami Desikan's Thirunakshatram

celebrations at Buffalo Hindu Devalayam. Similarly Swami Desikan's

thirunakshatram was celebrated in a grand manner with Sri Sadagopan leading the

ghosti at SriRanganatha Temple at Pomona. As Sri Anbil Mama and Sri Sadagopan

Mama have already written about the events itself, adiyen would like to thank

all the people who took time to organize such events. As all of us know Sri

Anbil Ramaswamy Iyengar and Sri Sadagopan are doing a great service to our

Sampradayam through various activites. In Buffalo the leading deity is Sri

Thiruvengadamudaiyan and in Pomona it is SriRanganatha. Both these places are

very dear to Swami Desikan. Therefore it is very appropriate that both of them

were leading the celebrations at Buffalo and Pomona respectively. Sri

Vijayaraghavan and his friends have made wonderful arrangements. Adiyen's

sincere appreciation to them. Sri Poondi Vijayaraghavan swami is a very familiar

person

in the sampradayam. With his remarkable humility he lead the Ghoshti at

Buffalo. Sri Mukund Pattangi and his friends catered the younger audience with

their multimedia presentations. Many Srivaishnavas came from NJ, Chicago,

Cincinnati and many other places.

Only during the first week of September we had the fortune of celebrating of

Thirunashatrams of various Acharyas organized by Sri Ahobila Mutt at Washington

DC.

It is very heartening to see such activities are conducted with huge enthusiasm

and commitment. Adiyen would like to add a suggestion here. Though it is

important to conduct such events at various places, we should not forget our

CAPITAL, that is SriRanganatha Temple at Pomona. We should often arrange

programs at this temple and participate. As Sri U.Ve Velukkudi Krishnan Swami

said when he visited this temple, "this is the temple which follows a strict

Padhiviratha Dharmam." Such a SriVaishnava Temple definitely needs our attention

and participation. Though I am just an ordinary member of this temple, I would

like to appeal to ALL the SriVaishnavas to organize more and more events at this

SriVaishanva shrine and make this place a true SriVaishnava Center.

Thanks,

RamanujaDasan Kannan
