Solar Eclipse on Dec 14, 2001 on New Moon Day: As per NASA, there will be a partial solar eclipse visible in some parts in Northern America, Pacific etc on Friday, Dec 14, 2001. Please look at URL for the duration for the city you live in. URL:http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/ASE2001/ASE2001.html In some places, the eclipse will last for from 2 minutes to 4 hours. In the eastern USA, sunset will occur while the eclipse is still in progress making for a memorable sight. 2. Lunar Eclipse on Dec 30, 2001: visible East Asia, Americas, Australia and pacific.
