Dear Sudarshan,

This award is for your father Mr. M. Krishnaswami, who recognised her

talents, encouraged her, and sacrificed all his life and career for her

music This shows his passion for carnatic music . I have no words to say

about him. He is a great man.

Besides, I also want to mention that most musicians or anyone who wants to

come up in their career may not fully concentre on their family. But these

two GREAT people took care of her 11 siblings(because her mother died young

and Smt. Mani Krishnaswamy is the oldest daughter) and his nieces and

nephews, got them all married and made sure they are all well settled,

watched them grow and shared their success with pride. Even to this day they

are towers of strength to these people. For all this what do they expect.

Nothing.

I don't know if this will interest anyone. What they gave is coming back to

them. All of her sibblings and their families and his nieces and nephews

and their families are all celebrating this award with them and wish them

well.

Thanks for giving me an opportunity to express my true affection for them

and may Lord Srinivasa of the seven hills bless them with good health and

longivity.
