Guest guest
Dear sir, I was an onlooker into this Vaishnav group for some time and has become a member to learn about vaishnavism's sath samachar by reading interesting exchange of letters and notes, of renouned people.. While we are on this deplorable suject , which i read in the above sais letter, i feel some thing has taken me over and makes me to mention a despicable scene i witnessed when i was a young boy. It is a great Vasasthalam of Perumal and i don't want to mention the name of it.The event that took place was on the road just before the great temple as things were getting ready for veedhi purappadu of the Uthsavar. I felt even at that age that that regrettable incident shook me to such an extent that i thought it was like a family feud. It all suddenly arose because the palanquin that was to be carried forward consisted of one person who was not in the majority of other sect to lift it and carry. It was virually a bloody battle using all sorts of billingsgate.Fortunately, some fair minded people stopped by saying "Is it fair on our part to prevent the Lord who was to proceed on the road with wishful thinking and blessing the whole city for the sake of SUBHIKSHM". Fortunately, better sense prevailed and it was all averted resulting in a happy uurvalam though it is a rank disservice to Vaishnavism and utter disrespect to God,the Almighty. This incident only depicts our ignomineous ignorance. We should not forget' mills of GOD grind slowly.' As humbly as i could say, there is not any material difference of views between the two sects as espoused by our Acharyas, excepting a slight U turn or Y shaped Thiruman on the foreheads of respective sects. HERE, i only took my turn taking a lead from the letter above to say that there should be union as there is no diversity in Vaishnava philosophy for the path is one and the same to attain salvation. I beg to be pardoned for i have no illwill against any body or any particular sect. I do not even mean anything to hurt either the addresser or addressee of this letter or by taking sides either. Vasagadhoshashnthavya, Kshamitharulga. Adiyen, Ramachandran. PS.Tobe somebody close to God is to be somebody known to all.I mean the fair-minded people in the episode whose devoted move were beyond borders. - Ranga Sourirajan <Enthu_rajan <Ramanbil; <> Sunday, February 10, 2002 7:46 PM Re: Re.
