SEVA SWAMY MEMORIAL FOUNDATION

LAUNCHES

SEVA ONLINE - A TRIBUTE TO SEVA SWAMY

Dear Asthikas

Arasanipalai Nallur Srinivasa Raghavachariar, popularly known

as "Seva Swamy"to the devotees, recipient of Rashtrapathi Award for

sanskrit literature, who passed away on May 1, 2001, true to his name

had lived and breathed the quintessence of Srivaishnavism in letter

and in spirit by his service to the cause of Desika Sampradaya for

over five decades.

Hailing from the lineage of Appullar, the maternal uncle of Vedanta

Desika, he studied the scriptures under renowned scholars of his

times after receiving formal education in Sri Venkateswara College,

Tirupati.

Proficient as he was in five languages - Tamil, Sanskrit, English,

Telugu and Hindi - he took to writing and editing of religious works

with ease. His popularity was due to his ability to expound the

traditional scholarly works both in his writings and discourses. He

untiringly taught, lectured and wrote till his end.

We, the disciples and admirers of Swamy have floated a trust

named "Seva Swamy Memorial Foundation" to propagate his ideals. As a

tribute to his selfless service we have launched a website in his

honour.

The website http://sevaonline.topcities.com was officially launched

on March 30, 2002 to coincide with Sri Seva Swamy's 79th

Thirunakshatram (Panguni - Chithirai). This website is dedicated to

the legend who initiated several projects targeting the youth to

follow our traditions and made through the horizon of Srivaishnava

Sampradaya like a colossus in an incomparable manner. He had left an

indelible impression in the likes of great Saints and Acharyas.

We solicit the feedback of all visitors to improve the site for the

betterment of Srivaishnavites around the globe.

With Pranams

Dasan

Nallur Srinivasaraghava Gandamani

(N.S. Gandamani)
