This is the fourth Volume in the series. ******************************************************* SwAmi’s lowkikA skills Even though swAmi very much lived a life of a parama vaidhikA, swAmi had great skills in lowkikA as well. Since the time swAmi started rendering upanyAsams, He would never attend others’ upanyAsams. Wherever swAmi had to go for rendering upanyAsams, He would see to it that he will be there just in time. He would never go early and wait for people to come. He would always go to these places by car. The other great aspect of swAmi’s quality is that he would never disperse His radiant brilliance in front of disparaging people. A lot of crowd used to throng swAmi’s upanyAsams. SwAmi’s thiruppAvai upanyAsams in particular had wide following equally amongst men and women folks. SwAmi received invitations to render upanyAsams in various sabhAs and He generously obliged to quench the spiritual thirst of Asthika prapannAs by having upanyAsams in all the places where He was called. Without fail, swAmi’s upanyAsam would happen everyday in the morning at Basullah road samAj. On Sunday evenings( from 4 pm onwards), swAmi used to give lectures in sabhAs located in Mowbrays road and Ambatthur. For travel convenience, swAmi procured a car. Comforts grew as the time passed by. With the help of Kumkumam VaradAchAr swAmi, swAmi bought a house (located in Baroda street) and performed gruha pravEsam. In 1950, swAmi’s whole family relocated from Thirukkudanthai to chennai. SwAmi’s rahasya thraya sAram lectures used to be held regularly at Egmore sAkEtha nilayam,ChindhadhirippEttai, lakshmipuram either everyday or on Sundays. In between, swAmi used to regularly visit Srirangam and perform kainkaryam at the periAsramam. Whenever swAmi went out of town (away from chennai), He would always adhere to His austere nithyAnushtAnams and wherever He travelled across length and breadth of the country, He spread our vishishtAdvaita siddhantA and earned a lot of goodwill and wide followers of our faith. During those times, ‘Veecumsee” Sri. P.V.RajagopAlAchAr swAmi was immensely helpful to His family and took care of them to great extent. As a parent, SwAmi performed his duties very well by giving good education to his children and led his gruhAstAsrama in a blessed manner. SwAmi bought a new house in Unnamalai Amman street ( in kOdambAkkam). But swAmi got so much attached to his house in Baroda street that it became very diffucult for Him to make up his mind and move to His new house as swAmi always used to say that yamA wouldn’t dare to enter his house. His Acharya Bhakti which was so deep rooted in his heart prompted him to visit Srirangam several times to seek the blessings of Srimath Thembarai Andavan. Srimath Thembarai Andavan seeing his Acharya bhakthi not only ordained him to look after the administration affairs of the Asramam ( by appointing him as Sri kAryam of the Asramam) but also commanded Him to stay permanently in Srirangam. Kannan swAmi organized the 160th mahOstavam of Srimath periAndavan in a grand manner and carried out holy orders of Srimath Thembarai Andavan as per His wishes. Sri. Chitrakootam VijayarAghavAchAriar swAmi was with swAmi and helped him a lot in performing his responsibilities. ======================================================= (To be continued....)
