Ka-ta-pa-ya-dhi Sankhya

Dear Aasthikas,

I wish to share the following information which may be found

interesting by some of the members.

We know that Maha Bharatham is called Jayam. Written in

Sanskrit it would be ja-ya. When this word Ja ya is converted into

numerals according to katapayadhi sankhya it would be 18. This

number 18 is unique to the great epic in more ways than one. The

epic consists of 18 parvas, the battle was fought for 18 days, the

total number of akshouni senas was 18, and the Bhagavatgita contains

18 chapters and so on.
