Guest guest
SrI : Dear BhakthAs: There are two e-groups that I am particularly involved: Oppiliappan and SaraNAgathy .There are 243 members in the Oppiliappan group and 400 plus members in the SaraNAgathy group. Oppiliappan group was started on March 8, 2002 and SaraNAgathy group was started during September 1999 on Swamy desikan's and ThiruvEngadamudayAns' birth day ( PurattAsi SravaNam). I have been seeking inputs on future directions of these two lists in the context of number of other lists serving SrI VaishNavA community in their own special ways. While waiting for these inputs , let me share with you some thoughts on my mind: 1. Every day identify a Veda Manthram relating to SaraNAgathy , a dhivya prabhnadha paasuram relating to AzhwArs' anubhavam of the dhivya dampathis , One sthOthra slOkam from Swamy Desikan and His PoorvAchAryALs in addition to the current series on Sri ViLakkoLI PerumaL (Sri SaraNAgathi DhIpikai , Sri VaradarAja Sthavam of KurEsar and SrI GuNa Rathna Kosam of Swamy ParAsara Bhattar; these three appear aperiodically . With three more slOkams , Sri GuNa Rathna Kosam series will soon be completed ). These will appear in Oppiliappan List. 2. Maintain SaraNAgathi Journal for two key kaimakryams: a. Swamy Desikan' ChillaRai Rahasyangal by V.S b. Desika prabhnadham by Sri S.Rengarajan c. Other contributed or invited articles from scholars on RaamAnuja-Desika SampradhAyam. I encourage cross-registration by members of the two groups , if they are not already enlisted in either of the groups. Members from other groups are invited to join these groups . adiyEn will set the process in motion as of tomorrow by releasing the first of the series on Veda manthrams , AzhwAr Paasurams and PoorvAchArya sthOthra slOkams . Please remember that these postings is to pay homage to the matchless SrI Sookthis of our AchAryAs , Rishis and AzhwArs and not to settle fine points about VedAntha VichAram in Oppiliappan Home pages . SaraNAgathi Journal will attempt a more detailed analysism with the help of VidvAns from India . Please let me know of your comments at the formative stage of evolution of these two journals , ThiruviNNagarappan ThiruvaditthugaLE SaraNam , V.Sadagopan
